Suitable for families and couples, the C3 PLUS is Modcon’s most versatile camper.

The C3 PLUS has an internal ensuite/toilet and bunk beds for two children, but at only 6.73m long is still small and agile enough to get to the good spots. If you want the comforts of a full sized caravan but are not ready to give up the go any where capability of a camper trailer, the C3 PLUS is for you.

The C3 PLUS is the ultimate in family camping, combining outside camper trailer lifestyle with inside caravan comfort. Externally, under a quick set up, 270°awning, sits the slide out chef’s kitchen, optional 95L fridge/freezer, 250L pantry and bench. Internally, there is a Queen size bed, two 2m long bunk beds for the children, a convertible lounge, a hot water shower and toilet.

The C3 PLUS’s clean and functional design makes it extremely livable with large windows and a white gloss finish giving it an airy and spacious feel that belies its compact towability.

The C3 PLUS is built with remote travel in mind. Independent trailing arm suspension rated to 2500kg keeps both wheels grounded on outback tracks. Weight is kept to a minimum with fibreglass/XPS sandwich panels for walls and roof and a PVC honey comb floor. Furnishings are rivetted and bolted aluminium with a powder coat finish to resist wear and tear from corrugations.

Storage in the C3 PLUS is impressive with a total of 1700L of usable space. Inside there are ample drawers and storage for all the family and outside there is the renowned Modcon kitchen, pantry and fridge slide. There is also plenty of wide storage space for items such as tables and chairs.

Drawing on the last 20 years of camper trailer manufacturing experience, Modcon have designed and built the ultimate in luxury off road touring, the C3 PLUS Hybrid Caravan.

The clam shell lid is an easy one person lift and provides spacious and airy internal living.

The Queen size innerspring mattress is under a 30mm thick roof for noise and thermal insulation. The double bunk beds convert into a huge settee with the click of two catches. (Bunk beds 2000mm x 650mm).

There is also an internal ensuite and toilet to provide true off grid, luxury camping.

The C3 PLUS has an incredible 1700L of usable storage. There are drawers under the main bed and bunk bed, storage for an outside table and chairs, a 250L pantry at the kitchen and two large slides, one for a fridge and the other for a BBQ.

The locker doors have a triple seal system that makes a dust proof camper even better.

The undercarriage is the backbone of any camper trailer, and Modcon‘s chassis, draw bar and suspension are built to withstand the corrugations and other surprises that lie in wait on Australia’s outback roads.

Utilising 20 plus years of  off road camper manufacturing, Modcon RV has placed the entire body of its hybrid campers onto the chassis with the drawbar running under the chassis all the way back to the trailing arm suspension hangers. Cross braces further strengthen the draw bar.

The independent trailing arm suspension is also built with Australia’s outback roads in mind with dual shock absorbers and heavy duty springs providing a stable and safe ride.

The gas plumbing and electrical wiring is protected and fastened as high as possible along and inside the draw bar and chassis to prevent it from being snagged or damaged by stones. Wiring is further protected by convoluted covering and grommets, and the entire underbody is sealed against dust ingress.

Water tanks are 5mm thick so do not require covers. Covers around water tanks can cause problems if a pebble manages to find its way between cover and tank, eventually nibbling a hole through the tank. A better solution is a tank thick enough to withstand stone damage.

The entire undercarriage is hot dipped galvanised inside and out for rust protection and long life. The chassis and underside is further protected by a rubberised paint making for a camper designed and built to last.
